Associate veterinary cardiologist

You can make one of these places your home as we are seeking a Veterinary Cardiologist (Board Certified or Residency Trained) to add to our team!
Petcardia is privately owned and operated by Dr. Allison Heaney, and follows the concierge model of care that she has been practicing in Colorado for over 10 years. Petcardia Veterinary Cardiology is seeking a self-motivated, upbeat, hardworking Certified Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, growing practice and our tight-knit team.

Petcardia is a rapidly growing veterinary cardiology practice with locations throughout the Front Range including Wheat Ridge, Loveland/Fort Collins, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. Petcardia utilizes a concierge model of care that puts the needs of the patient and client above all else.
Responsibilities and Duties
Qualifications and Skills
To be a successful candidate you must have a CVT/LVT/RVT, 2-3 years working in a specialty practice -- cardiology experience is a plus! You will have a positive mindset, excellent communication skills, and be a willing learner. Petcardia uses a concierge model of care which acknowledges that every client and every patient is unique. You are accommodating to client and patient needs and provide them with all the comfort and care that they require in order to have an excellent experience. Clients remain with their pets for most procedures, your ability to exhibit a calm confidence is important. You will spend periods of time working independently, you are a problem solver but also recognize your own limitations and seek support when necessary. Between appointments, you will have many responsibilities, both clinical and administrative, your internal drive, self-direction, follow-through, and attention to details are essential.

Petcardia
Petcardia is a rapidly growing veterinary cardiology practice with locations throughout the Front Range including Wheat Ridge, Loveland/Fort Collins, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. Petcardia utilizes a concierge model of care that puts the needs of the patient and client above all else.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Excellent Communication skills:
- Professional phone etiquette is a must, as we maintain an open flow of communication with our clients and referring veterinarians
- Professional face to face communication with doctors, clients and staff
- Professional writing for patient histories and administrative tasks as assigned
- Obtaining blood pressures and ECGs for patients
- I.V. catheter placement and venous blood draws
- Taking x-rays
- Monitoring and checking in on our hospitalized patients
- Preparing lab samples
- Performing proper restraint for echocardiograms, blood draws, medication administration
- Explaining to clients at-home medications and procedures (Holter Monitors, sleeping respiratory rates), post-appointment follow-ups/call backs
- Checking patients in and out of the hospital for appointments, surgery, or hospitalization.
- Assisting in Catheter Lab procedures
